Wild Idea: Re-Forest Africa, Reverse Global Warming

Africa Size

I just came across 10 Billion Acres via the random magic of Google Ads. Not only is this graphic amazing, but it's also a very thought-provoking thesis: our climate problems are probably due to the fact we've deforested 10 billion acres of planet Earth since 1492.

I leave it to the reader to determine the validity of that claim, but the vision of re-foresting Africa is both beautiful and nescessary.

Posted at 3:23 am? I am definitely back on the right track...big ups to Beardo for posting so much great material while I've been on the road!

Maybe we should be including some trees in our seedbombs.

I'm interested in finding or creating a matrix of tree species laid out according to their properties -- strength, growth rate, durability. Nature is technology but we don't have it organized logically yet, as humans.

I'm going to steal this. Not Africa, just the picture and your few words. PEACE AND LOVE
